SENSORY CORRIDORS

Sensory Corridors are another area where sensory input can be obtained in schools and learning environments for children with Autism and Neurological disorders. Simple sensory motor trails can be completed when children are transitioning from one room to another. A series of decals on the walls and floors provide an interactive pathway for students to follow, giving them focus and allowing them to burn energy that can prevent them from focusing in the classroom setting. Textured walls, touch and feel panels, and lighting are all options to include in a sensory corridor.
