Ability Space designs and manufactures portable sensory rooms, which includes the portable building, windows, doors, air-conditioning, and sensory fitout including lighting, wall art, and equipment. Sensory Spaces are filled with sensory stimulation, visual, audio and touch. It becomes a space outside the classroom where participants can be in a safe environment, to alleviate frustration, violence, anxiety, for participants that have the need to jump, climb, spin, punch, or need calming. This can reduce damage on classroom furniture or injury to teachers, support workers and other students. These spaces are all wheelchair accessible and are designed structurally for the weight of swings and ceiling mounted equipment. The Sensory Space will be custom designed and fitted out with specific equipment to meet the needs of each individual participant.
